Pattern making is the process of manufacturing the necessary tooling to form sand to the required geometric shape in order to become part of a sand core assembly, into which molten metal is poured to form a cast shape. This process began thousands of years ago as man carved shapes into the ground and cast primitive metal tools and has now developed into the sophisticated computer-aided generation of tooling that exists today. Hitchcock produces some of the most complicated geometric cast shapes and has developed its pattern tooling generation capabilities as follows:
Hitchcock has developed its pattern tooling capabilities to meet the most stringent requirements of our customers. We are committed to keeping abreast of the latest changes in this rapidly changing field of technology.
