Hitchcock believes one of the ways for customers to save money in the development phase of a project is to use sand castings for prototype parts.
Over the years, we have produced car engine blocks, one-piece passenger doors, exotic fuel control bodies, and several other interesting parts for military and commercial applications.
We are prepared to take on your "Specialty Casting" challenge. We have a proven track record of making a success from these challenges. We produce a quality sand casting, meet our customers' delivery needs, and accomplish it cost effectively.
- We have experience in producing a 750-pound, 82" diameter aluminum air inlet volute for a land-based generator system that required alloy D357, high property requirements, and exacting dimensional requirements.
- We are a leader in supplying large, pressure tight, chamber castings for the semiconductor industry.
- We provide complete end-item oil tanks. This includes the casting, machining, surface treatment, and hardware assembly for the largest volume commercial engine programs.
- · We have supplied a one-piece passenger door for the commercial aircraft for testing. Our door has exceeded all of the rigorous testing criteria that was presented. These passenger doors are supplied with all of the hardware and mechanisms assembled.
- While a mass production tooling is being built, Hitchcock has also been supplying the automotive industry with the initial low-rate production-casting prototype for several years.
